Widespread greening transitions and their drivers across the Cerrado ecoregion

Datasets produced as part of the peer-reviewed scientific publication about estimating ecosystem stability and transitions to global environmental change across Brazil's savanna biome, the Cerrado. File Metadata- Each file is a 7Zipped file containing rasters. Aggregate_Transitions_1km - contains two folders "annual" and "monthly", each contains the rasters of greening, browning and no transitions across the study area at 1 km resolution denoting the timestep at which the analyses was done. There are 12 rasters in each of the two folders i.e. 4 rasters per index (EVI, NDVI and anisotropic EVI). The 4 rasters refer to the 4 STL decomposition settings of swin=7,11,periodic and no decomposition (raw). Each raster file name follows the format "reclass_<timestep-annual or monthly>_<index- evi or ndvi or anisoevi>_<swin setting- 7 or 11 or swinperiodic or nostl> ". Note that reclass_monthly_ndvi_swin11 is the raster used in Fig 1a of the manuscript. In each of the rasters present, pixel value meaning is 1 - browning transition, 2 - greening transition and 3 - no transition. ProportionalArea_Greened_5km - contains raster monthly_ndvi_agg_count_5km.tif which is the raster at 5 x 5km resolution derined using NDVI at the monthly timestep and STL decomposition setting 11, such that the pixel value indicates the number of 1 x 1km pixels within the 5 x 5km pixels (i.e out of 25) that have undergone greening transition. This product was used in the analyses about drivers resulting in Fig 2 and Fig 3 of the manuscript. SeperateTransitions_1km - file order and structure follows the same format as the rasters in Aggregate_Transitions_1km. Each file name follows the format <index - evi or ndvi or anisoevi>_<timestep-annual or monthly>_<swin setting- 7 or 11 or swinperiodic or nostl>. In eachof the rasters present, pixel value meaning is 1 - linear browning, 2 - linear greening, 3 - no transition, 4 - rapid browning, 5 - rapid greening, 6 - quadratic browning (accelerated), 7 - quadratic browning (deccelerated), 8 - quadratic greening (accelerated) and 9 - quadratic greening (deccelerated).All rasters are in .tif format with WGS GCS
