Human neuromuscular organoids (NMOs) hold a great potential to study the pathophysiology of functional human skeletal muscle in vitro due to the presence of both muscular and neuronal compartments organized in a their three-dimensional (3D) context and to be derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs). Overall design: We performed transcriptomic analysis using data obtained from bulk RNA-seq of differentiated human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) from 2D cultures (2D), human neuromuscular organoids (NMO), tissue-engineered NMOs (t-NMO), and t-NMO from a Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) patient (t-NMO DMD). Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for 2D, NMO, and t-NMO samples. Comparative analysis of previous samples and t-NMO DMD.
