Experimental laboratory study testing the effects of Deformed wing virus (DWV)-specific dsRNA on viral loads and gene expression in brood-parasitising varroa mites. RNA-sequencing was conducted on pools of 7 adult foundress Varroa destructor mites collected from brood cells of mini-hives treated with either DWV-specific dsRNA, non-specific dsRNA (complementary to the MPK4a soybean (Glycine max) gene) or sugar water only.
