Analysis described in Wondji et al. (2009). A BAC library derived from the mosquito Anopheles funestus (FUMOZ colony) was produced at The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR). After screening to identify the cytochrome P450 genes CYP6P9 and CYP6P4, a single BAC clone was grown overnight at 37°C, harvested in glycerol solution and stored at −80°C. The BAC clone was fragmented by sonication into 2-5kb fragments that were cloned into plasmid vectors (pC31) and sequenced using an ABI DNA Sequencer.
