Sanicula lamelligera chloroplast, complete genome

Sanicula lamelligera Hance (Apiaceae) is a perennial dwarf herbaceous plant widely distributed in South-East Asia to North America. In China, S. lamelligera is a traditional medicine, used to treat cold, cough, asthma, amenorrhea and bleeding. Recent biochemical research showed a new flavonoid isolated from S. lamelligera, which has potential antiproliferative activity against some cancer cell. Therefore, we can expect that it has great exploitable medicinal value. In this study, we analyzed the structure of complete cp genome of S. lamelligera and resolve the phylogenetic relationships of S. lamelligera and other species in Apiaceae.
