Costs of cardiovascular diseases as a share of health expenditure in the EU in 2021

In 2021, health and social care costs associated with cardiovascular disease accounted for over 18 percent of total health expenditure in Hungary. In Poland, costs due to CVD also took up around 18 percent of all health spending in the country. Across the EU as a whole, 10.6 percent of health expenditure was consumed by CVD costs.
