Landscape Structure, Climate Variability, and Soil Quality Shape Crop Biomass Patterns in Agricultural Ecosystems of Bavaria

Description:This dataset supports the study "Landscape Structure, Climate Variability, and Soil Quality Shape Crop Biomass Patterns in Agricultural Ecosystems of Bavaria." It includes spatial and spatio-temporal predictor data and biomass estimates for winter wheat (WW) and oilseed rape (OSR) across Bavaria, Germany, from 2001 to 2019. All data are aggregated at a 5 km² hexagon level. Contents include: Predictor shapefiles for WW and OSR (climate, soil, topography, landscape metrics) Biomass maps derived from LUE and RF models SHapley values (SHAP) and Partial Dependence Plot (PDP) outputs Hexagon shapefile (Hexagrid_5_LAEA) District yield shapefile (District_Yields_LfStat) README with full metadata and variable descriptions Note:IACS field boundary data used to extract crop-specific information are not included due to data-sharing restrictions.
