Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae is a highly contagious agent of porcine contagious pleuropneumonia which is associated with severe economic losses through high mortality rates and treatment costs. Moreover, no effective vaccine is available to confer cross-protection against various serotypes of A. pleuropneumoniae. To analyze the information of surface and secreted proteins, the whole genome was sequenced. Finally, the suitable antigens are identified as candidates for effective vaccine development.
