Private Bordering Port Facilities in Kentucky

<div style='text-align:Left;'><p><span>Initial nationwide listing of port facilities was downloaded from the Corps of Engineers website. The initial data format was a spreadsheet. All facilities located in bordering states around Kentucky were then extracted from that and plotted using x,y coordinates. Then all facilities that were not adjacent to a shared waterway with Kentucky were removed. From there, facilities were individually examined using aerial photography to verify if any freight activity was evident at the facility. If freight activity was evident, the facility remained in the dataset.
