Dataset for: Female sexual dysfunction in premenopausal women with diabetes mellitus in two tertiary hospitals in northern Nigeria

This dataset contains de-identified data from a cross-sectional study examining female sexual dysfunction (FSD), glycaemic control, and reproductive hormonal profiles among 180 premenopausal women with diabetes mellitus attending two tertiary hospitals in Kano, northern Nigeria (December 2024 - June 2025). Files included:- De-identified participant data (CSV)- Variable codebook (DOCX)- Statistical analysis script (R)- README with methodology summary Data were collected using the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), clinical examination, and laboratory assays (HbA1c, FSH, LH, estrogen, testosterone, prolactin, progesterone). Ethical approval: AKTH Research Ethics Committee (NHREC/28/01/2020/AKTH/EC/3887) and Kano Ministry of Health Institutional Review Board (NHREC/17/03//2018). Individual-level data are restricted to protect participant confidentiality. Researchers may request access through controlled mechanisms.
