The glacier stonefly is the largest metazoan inhabiting the Patagonian glaciers. In this study, we analysed the gut microbiome of their aquatic nymphs by 16S rRNA gene amplicon and metagenomic sequencing to reveal their taxonomic composition and metabolic capability.
