This project investigates how the timing of iron supplementation affects maternal gut microbiota composition and placental circadian rhythms in a mouse model of iron-deficiency anemia during pregnancy. Pregnant mice were given oral iron (FeSO4) either in the morning (ZT12) or evening (ZT0). Colon content samples were collected at embryonic day 17, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing (V3-V4 region) was performed using Illumina MiSeq. This dataset supports analysis of microbiota diversity, iron metabolism gene rhythmicity, and timing-based nutritional interventions in pregnancy.
