We establish that subtelomeric regions together with some other functional elements like transposons are consistently under-replicated in metaphase and with lower extent in late anaphase, suggesting and ongoing DNA replication between metaphase and telophase. Overall design: S. Cereivisiae mutants were arrested in either metaphase and G1-phase (6 replicates, by using a strain with methionine sensitive promoter in front of CDC20) or late anaphase and G1-phase (6 replicates, by using a strain with thermosensitive allele of DBF2
