Deferentially wastewater-impacted watersheds were sampled on the island of Puerto Rico 6-months after Hurricane Maria to assess the effects of wastewater treatment plant effluents on the proliferation of antibiotic resistance determinants and pathogens. The water column and sediments of 3 different watersheds were sampled, as well as the influent and effluent the Patillas wastewater treatment plant.
