Study on the host intrinsic and extrinsic factors associated with strongyle parasite communities infecting the feral Sable Island horse population using nemabiome DNA metabarcoding. Fecal samples were collected in 2014, and DNA metabarcoding was conducted on larval coprocultures. DNA metabarcoding was conducted on 320 samples using the ITS2 gene region and sequenced on the Illumina MiSeq platform.
