Renal fibrosis is the common feature of numerous progressive kidney diseases and TGF beta has an important role in tissue fibrosis by upregulating matrix protein synthesis. To better understand the molecular basis of TGF beta 1 induced fibrogenesis in renal fibroblasts, we performed RNA seq analysis of NRK49F cells with and without TGF beta 1 treated for 6 h, 12 h and 24 h. This project provides new information about the involvement of genes in TGF beta 1 induced fibrogenesis in renal fibroblasts, which can become novel diagnostic and therapeutic targets of renal fibrosis in the future.
