This series is an outward letter book, containing copies of letters sent by the President of the Legislative Council. If the Presidents correspondence was in response to an item of inward correspondence, a copy was made of the relevant inward item and a copy of the Presidents response to the same (either in the form of a letter, a memorandum or a brief note) was also recorded.
