Soil temperature in Vernagtferner catchment, 2022-2024

Soil temperature data collected from 2022 to 2024 in the catchment of the Vernagtferner in the Ötztal Alps, Tyrol, Austria. Two different temperature sensors were used: HOBO Pendant Temp/Alarm, 64K, https://www.onsetcomp.com/products/data-loggers/ua-001-64 UTL-3 Scientific Datalogger, https://www.geotest.ch/en/innovation/utl-3-temperaturdatenlogger The loggers were buried at 15 different locations around the proglacial and periglacial area of the Vernagtferner catchment. Each location had two loggers buried at two depths. Note that as the soil where the loggers were buried was disturbed when the logger were placed and the data read out.
