Point Count Survey Data of Avian Community Occupancy and DNA metabarcoding of pig diet at Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge Complex, 2023-2024

This release contains data from two parts of a project investigating the impacts of Wild Hogs on native wildlife. The first is a summary of Point Count Survey Data conducted during the summers of 2023 and 2024 to evaluate the impacts of hog presence and damage on the distribution of the avian community. The second part of the data release is DNA metabarcoding diet data from wild hogs collected across a calendar year to evaluate their direct consumption of native plants and animals. All data were collected in and around Felsenthal National WIldlife Refuge Complex.
