Behind them: mountains.; Elise Schärf (1892-?) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. She was a deaconess and received training not only as a nurse but also in the care of mothers and lepers. She served from 1928 for many years at the leprosy hospital in Isoko. -- The pictue might have been taken in 1938.
