The tectonic responses in the overriding plate during the Tethyan convergence and the progressive extrusion process in Sundaland: insights from the Wuliangshan massif, SE Tibetan Plateau

We present the results of Titanium-in-quartz, zircon U-Pb, and Hf isotope analyses for the Wuliangshan massif in the southeast Tibetan Plateau. These data reveal that the Wuliangshan massif records the tectonic response of the overriding plate to the closure of the Paleo-Tethys. Then, statistics of ⁴⁰Ar/³⁹Ar age data from the Ailaoshan-Red River Fault, the Chongshan-Lancang River Fault, and the Gaoligong Fault are presented to discuss the tectonic extrusion process of the Sundaland.
