Water Availability Mapping Tool - Russian River Watershed

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Division of Water Rights staff have developed an interactive tool that graphically displays water availability for water rights in the Russian River Watershed. Water rights are symbolized by circles, the colors of which correspond to shortage determinations. Water supply information was obtained from the Drought Water Rights Allocation Tool (DWRAT), a model developed by the SWRCB Division of Water Rights. Water demand was obtained from the SWRCB's eWRIMS database. Shortage determinations were made by comparing supply to demand. How to Use the Interactive Map: After opening the web map, you will need to agree to the disclaimer by clicking "OK" on the splash screen Explore the map using the pan and zoom functions. You can search for specific water rights by entering the water right ID (Application Number, Permit Number, License Number, or Statement Number) in the search bar at the top right of the map pane. You can also search for places, such as cities or towns, using the same search bar. Water rights and watersheds (a.k.a. basins) have underlying information that can be accessed by clicking or tapping on the feature. This will bring up a pop-up box containing the information. If there are overlapping features, you can use the arrow button in the top right of the pop-up box to advance to the next feature's information. You can also use the filter switches in the bottom left "Filters" pane to turn on and off filters of the data. The features visible in the map display will change according to the filters that are turned on.
