Whole genome analysis of Fusarium sacchari PB09 causing Pokkah boeng disease in sugarcane

Pokkah boeng is a destructive fungal disease of sugarcane that leads to leaf distortion, stalk rot, and significant yield losses across major sugarcane growing regions. The disease is primarily associated with members of the Fusarium species complex including Fusarium sacchari a pathogen widely reported in Asia and other tropical regions. This project focuses on the whole genome sequencing and analysis of Fusarium sacchari strain PB09 a representative isolate linked to Pokkah boeng outbreaks in Tamil Nadu.
