Streptomyces sp. SS162 showed antimicrobial and anti proliferation activities. These activities are associated with secondary metabolites which are synthesized by gene clusters in this strain. Therefore, a genome sequencing is useful for identification of gene clusters involved in the biological activities of Streptomyces sp. SS162.
