We propose to observe the local openParz=0.00842closePar Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 4388 simultaneously with NuSTAR and XMM-Newton for 50 ks and 60 ks comma respectively comma in order to obtain conclusive evidence on the physical nature of the circumnuclear matter in this source. NGC 4388 has been already observed by many X-ray observatories highlighting several peculiar properties. In particular comma in 2005 Suzaku observed a prominent Fe KIquestionMark line openParEWaquestionMarkquestionMark200 eVclosePar and a significant contribution of the reflection component openParR = 1.40+0.29-0.36closePar comma while in 2013 NuSTAR revealed a very weak Compton hump openParR<0.09closePar and a very large iron KIquestionMark line EW openPar368+56 eV with respect to the intrinsic continuumclosePar for a source with weak or no reflection.
