The database consists of the returns of crude oil and 55 companies from developed markets that have been operating in the energy sector for more than 11 years. The selection of stocks is based on the constituents of the STOXX Developed World Energy Index as of the end of the first half of 2025. The returns were calculated based weekly prices of Brent and WTI crude oil futures, as well as stock prices expressed in U.S. dollars to eliminate the influence of exchange rate fluctuations.The data cover the period July 4, 2014–July 4, 2025.
