Abundance and daily vertical patterns of juvenile and adult lanternfish (Family: Myctophidae) throughout the water column in the Northeast Atlantic in May-June 2018 [Dataset]

This dataset presents information on the vertical distribution and abundance of juvenile and adult myctophids (F. Myctophidae) throughout the daily cycle in the Northeast Atlantic Ocean. The survey extended from south of the Canary Islands to south of Iceland and was carried out in May 2018. Results evidenced the diel vertical migration pattern to the upper 200 m of the water column, during night-time, and the return to the mesopelagic layers during the day
