PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded body of cellulose fiber having an improved tensile elastic modulus， preferably the molded body of cellulose fiber also having improved tensile strength， and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A molded body X of cellulose fiber includes a cellulose fiber as main component. The cellulose fiber includes a pulp P and a spreaded fiber C， and the spreaded fiber C includes a microfibrillated cellulose. In manufacturing of the molded body X， a slurry S of cellulose fiber is prepared from the pulp P and the spreaded fiber C， a wet paper web is formed from the slurry S， and the wet paper web is dehydrated and heated under pressure. As the spreaded fiber C， microfibrillated cellulose or microfibrillated cellulose and cellulose nanofiber are used. SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
