资源简介:

This dataset contains the raw experimental data supporting the study "X-ray Irradiation of Anastrepha fraterculus GSS-89 Eggs Suppresses Fertile Fly Emergence Without Compromising Doryctobracon areolatus Quality." Second-instar A. fraterculus GSS-89 larvae, derived from eggs irradiated at 22.5 Gy or from non-irradiated eggs (control), were exposed to parasitism by D. areolatus. Each row in the dataset represents one experimental replicate (cage), with 12 replicates per treatment (0 Gy and 22.5 Gy), each containing 15 parasitoid pairs. The file dataset.csv includes raw counts and derived percentages per replicate, covering parasitism rate, parasitoid emergence, fertile fly emergence, larval mortality, offspring sex ratio, and proportion of empty puparia, each reported separately for black pupae, brown pupae, and total progeny. Column names follow the pattern [PupalColor][Group][variable], where Group distinguishes D. areolatus (parasitoid) counts from GSS89 (host fly) counts within each pupal color category. Statistical analyses were performed in R version 4.4.1 (R Core Team, 2024) using RStudio version 2024.09.1 (Posit Team, 2024). Normality was assessed with the Shapiro-Wilk test, homogeneity of variance with Levene's test, and residual independence with the Durbin-Watson test. Variables meeting parametric assumptions were compared using one-way ANOVA; variables that did not were compared using the Mann-Whitney U test. The analysis script is not included in this deposit; the complete statistical procedure is described in the Methods section of the associated manuscript. Corresponding author: Dori E.
