Dataset for: Chronic Illness and Extreme Performance: Type 1 Diabetes in Ultra-Endurance

This dataset contains anonymized transcripts of 13 in-depth interviews conducted as part of the T1CourEUR project. The study explores the lived experience of ultra-endurance athletes with type 1 diabetes, focusing on self-management strategies, technological adaptations, and the psychosocial dimensions of sport and chronic illness. All personal identifiers have been removed in accordance with ethical approval and participant consent. The dataset is provided in PDF format and includes a table summarizing participant characteristics. These data support qualitative analyses presented in the associated PLOS ONE article.
