Digital Archive from Archaeological Watching Brief at Inwoods House, Ashlawn Road, Rugby, Warwickshire, April to May 2024

This collection consists of images, a spreadsheet and stie record data from details the results of an archaeological watching brief by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS). Work occurred on land at the site of the former Inwoods House, Ashlawn Road, Rugby, Warwickshire, between April and May 2024.The watching brief revealed an undated east-west ditch into which the smaller ditches observed during the previous trenching drained. This more substantial feature, located at the brow of the slope uphill from the Rainsbrook Valley, appeared to delineate the southern boundary of Late Prehistoric/Early Roman activity of field systems or stock enclosures potentially linked to late prehistoric activity observed north of Ashlawn Road.
