Dataset of Nutrients and Regionalized Climate Change Impacts Depending on Country of Consumption for Common Food Items

Dataset of approximately 500 commonly consumed food items (raw and processed) that includes nutrient content and total climate change impacts per gram of food item. The percentage contribution of the following life cycle stages to the total impact is included: cultivation, transportation, processing, storage, and home cooking. The dataset differentiates among impacts depending on country of consumption and country of production of each food item, and takes into account seasonality. This allows for a comparison of impacts for the same food item depending on the production country, as well as how impacts may change depending on availability of a fresh food item in a specific month. Files are labeled with the ISO 2 digit country code of the consuming country.
