Leptin, ghrelin, haptoglobin and cortisol concentrations in dairy cows and calves

Data gathered to assess: (1) serum ghrelin concentrations in dairy calves, and (2) haotglobin and cortisol concetration in dairy cows in two different management systems: (1) calves separated from their mothers immediately after birth (conventional) and (2) calves that remained with their mothers for at least 24 hours postpartum (dam-calf contact)
