we selected a PAH-degrading bacterium, Paracoccus aminovorans HPD-2, to investigate the remediation potential of this bacterium in two types of soils with distinct PAH-degrading abilities, red soil and paddy soil. The result showed that the remediation potential of strain HPD-2 were opposite in the two types of soil, and the mechanism of this phenomenon at bacterial community level was illustrated by Illumina sequencing.
