Press Data (Speeches and Press Releases) from the European Commission, DG Trade, 1989-2022

The Nvivo corpus consists of 1.601 documents from DG Trade, specifically speeches and press releases from EU Trade Commissioners Frans Andriessen (1989-1992), Leon Brittan (1993-1999), Pascal Lamy (1999-2004), Peter Mandelson (2004-2008), Karel De Gucht (2010-2014), Cecilia Malmström (2014-2019), Phil Hogan (2019-2020) and Valois Dombrovskis (2020-2022). Speeches and press data from Danuta Hübner (2004), Catherine Ashton (2008-2009), and Benita Ferrero-Waldner (2009-2010) are excluded due to their relatively brief tenures as EU Trade Commissioners.
