CIS: Community Innovation Survey

The Community Innovation Survey (CIS) based innovation statistics are part of the EU science and technology statistics. Surveys are carried out with two years' frequency by EU member states and number of ESS member countries. Compiling CIS data is voluntary to the countries, which means that in different surveys years different countries are involved. The CIS is a survey of innovation activity in enterprises. The harmonised survey is designed to provide information on the innovativeness of sectors by type of enterprises, on the different types of innovation and on various aspects of the development of an innovation, such as the objectives, the sources of information, the public funding, the innovation expenditures etc. The CIS provides statistics broken down by countries, type of innovators, economic activities and size classes.基于社区创新调查（Community Innovation Survey，CIS）的创新统计数据，属于欧盟科学与技术统计体系的组成部分。欧盟成员国及若干欧洲统计系统（ESS）成员国每两年开展一次此类调查。各国填报CIS数据属于自愿行为，因此不同调查年份的参与国家并不完全一致。 CIS是针对企业创新活动的专项调查。此项协调统一的调查旨在提供多维度的创新相关信息：涵盖按企业类型划分的行业创新能力、不同类别的创新活动，以及创新发展的诸多维度，诸如创新目标、信息来源、公共资助情况、创新支出等。CIS可提供按国家、创新主体类型、经济活动类别及企业规模分层的统计数据。
