Editor's Comment:
Presumably taken before mid-1916, as none of the men pictured are wearing the Model 1915 Bluse, the simplified tunic that became very common in the later war years. Instead, they seem to be wearing the Mantel (greatcoat) or the Model 1907/1910 Feldrock (field tunic).
