Data collected from a field experiment in and around the city of Kolkata studying the effects of edutainment on attitudes of people towards Gender Norms and Violence Against Women in India

This dataset contains primary data that was collected during fieldwork conducted in and around the city of Kolkata in India between October 2023 and January 2024. The data has been anonymised and cleaned as per the final version of the data used for analysis. The fieldwork was based on a Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT), studying the effects of edutainment on gender norms and attitudes towards violence against women. This was part of the third empirical chapter of the author's PhD thesis “Violence Against Women studied in connection to gender discrimination and gender biased norms in India”.
