PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device of a simple structure for preventing buckling at the time when applying prestress to a long structure like a beam material or a column material. SOLUTION: In a pre-stressed long structure having a through-hole 11 drilled in the axial direction of a long structure 10 and applying axial compressive force by a tendon 12 inserted into the through-hole 11， tendon position holding pieces 18 are attached which hold the position of the tendon 12 in the through-hole 11 with an interval less than the buckling length of the long structure 10. The tendon position holding piece 18 can have a circular hole 18a coming into tight contact with a whole circumference of the tendon 12， and can have a horseshoe-shaped cutout 18b coming into tight contact with the tendon 12 on an opposite face of the buckling direction of the long structure 10.
