Details of known, novel and disease-associated sheep serum proteins identified by ProteinPilotâ ˘ by a searching a composite UniProtKB protein sequence database of Bos taurus, Ovis aries and Capra hircus. This 3-sheet Microsoft Excel file contains the details of 67 known (Known_Proteins_in_Literature), 207 novel (Novel_Proteins) and 83 disease-associated (Disease-Associated_Proteins) serum proteins identified using this composite database. The known proteins are those that have been cited in the literature and also have a confirmed status in UniProtKB. Novel proteins constitute those that previously appeared as predicted and proteins that had hitherto been inferred by homology. Disease-associated proteins refer to proteins that are expressed or alter during pathology in sheep and other species. (XLSX 161 kb)
