资源简介:
This dataset comprises the 5-yr survival and growth assessment of mixedwood plantings in an assisted migration trial located at the northern margin of the temperate forest in Quebec, Eastern Canada. The experiment is established in temperate mixedwood forest type (yellow birch-conifer) impoverished by past diameter-limit cutting. It aims at testing silvicultural scenarios that could facilitate survival and growth of relocated seedlings. To do so, we planted 9 species of conifers and deciduous in intimate mixture in a split-plot design that represents a diversity of abiotic and biotic conditions. Each of the four complete blocks includes two cutting treatments (1.2 ha patch clearcut vs. 40% uniform shelterwood), cervid exclusion (excluded vs. non-excluded) and competing vegetation treatments (brushcut vs. control). Seedlings were grown from seeds of locations associated to three climate analogues: current climate, projected climate for mid-century (2041-2070) and end-of-century (2071-2100). For complete description, see Raymond et al. (Forest Ecology and Management).
