The Study1 adopted a nationwide online survey assessing Chinese public perceptions of CNR and CSR, exploring the CR paradigm's relevance in China. This foundational study sets the stage for a deeper examination of CNR and CSR dynamics within the Chinese context. Study 2 adopts a 2*2*3 mixed factorial design online experiment, with two between-group factors: CR strategy (CNR vs. CSR dispute-response) and crisis type (preventable vs. victim crisis); and one within-group factor: time, which includes pre-response, post-response (or pre-crisis), and post-crisis phases.
