This dataset contains outcomes from a collision avoidance task performed while walking overground. It was conducted under three environments: (1) Augmented Reality (AR), (2) Virtual Reality (VR), and (3) Physical Reality (PR). Additionally, the AR and VR were visualized using two headsets, Varjo XR-3 (Varjo) and VIVE XR Elite (Elite). Participants performed collision avoidance in response to a static interferer positioned either at 3m or 3.5m from the starting position of the participant. The locomotor outcomes and user experience were collected, analyzed and compared across both headsets and all three environments.
