16S rRNA gene sequencing of human biliary tract and intestinal flora

This study aims to reveal the diversity of biliary tract and intestinal flora in patients with gallstone disease, and to investigate the relationship between gallstone formation and bacterial flora. Gallstones, bile, gallbladder mucosa, feces were collected from patients with gallstone disease during operation, as well as fecal samples from healthy subjects without gallstones. We performed high-throughput sequencing of the V3-V4 regions of the 16S rRNA gene, and analyzed bioinformatics on the sequencing results in order to identify bacterial flora of biliary tract and intestinal.
