CHMC_Phenology (China’s Major Cities_Phenology), a long-term vegetation phenology indicators for China's 38 major cities (2001–2021) at 250 m spatial resolution, derived from the kernel Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (kNDVI) time series. Phenology indicators: Start of the growing season (SOS) End of the growing season (EOS) Length of the growing season (LOS) Vegetation greening rate (r_greening) Vegetation senescence rate (r_senescing) Data format: TIFF Temporal range: 2001–2021 Spatial resolution: 250 m Chinese major cities:Beijing, Changchun, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Haikou, Hangzhou, Harbin, Hefei, Hohhot, Jinan, Kunming, Lanzhou, Lhasa, Nanchang, Nanjing, Nanning, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Shijiazhuang, Suzhou, Taipei, Taiyuan, Tianjin, Wuhan, Urumqi, Xi'an, Xining, Yinchuan, Zhengzhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Xianggang), and Macao Special Administrative Region. A combined region encompassing Macao and the nearby cities of Zhongshan and Zhuhai is designated as "Aomen_Zhongzhu" in the dataset.
