Overview This feature layer provides county-level National Risk Index content for the United States, combining community exposure, vulnerability, resilience, and hazard risk measures into a single comprehensive risk dataset. It is designed to support spatial comparison of risk conditions across counties and to help users understand how different hazards and social factors contribute to overall risk. County Coverage Each feature represents a county or county-equivalent area and includes location identifiers, state and county names, FIPS codes, population, land area, and value summaries for buildings and agriculture. Risk and Community Factors Composite risk indicators summarize overall National Risk Index value, score, rating, and percentile at the county level. Expected annual loss measures describe total, building, population, population equivalence, and agriculture impacts, along with loss-rate and percentile outputs. Social vulnerability and community resilience measures provide context for how demographic and social conditions influence risk. Hazard-specific indicators capture event counts, annualized frequency, exposure, historic loss ratio, expected annual loss, loss rate, and hazard risk ratings for multiple natural hazards, including avalanche, coastal flooding, cold wave, drought, earthquake, hail, heat wave, hurricane, ice storm, landslide, lightning, inland flooding, strong wind, tornado, tsunami, volcanic activity, wildfire, and winter weather.
