This study compares the performance of classical computing systems against a novel optical hybrid architecture in terms of processing time and energy consumption. The results clearly demonstrate the superiority of the optical hybrid approach, achieving a substantial reduction in processing time from approximately 0.28 hours to just 0.03 hours and a dramatic decrease in energy consumption, from over 110 watt-hours to under 2 watt-hours. These findings underscore the potential of hybrid optical computing systems to revolutionize computational efficiency and sustainability in data-intensive applications.
