Analysis of deregulated genes upon stable overexpression of MiR-23b in UT-12 cell line by whole transcriptome microarray MicroRNAs (miRNAs) regulate gene expression at the posttranscriptional level. Here, we report that miR-23b - an evolutionarily conserved miRNA abundantly expressed in keratinocytes - is downregulated in cSCCs and to a lesser extent in precancerous lesions. We used microarrays to detail the global programme of gene expression upon miR-23b overexpressing SCC cell lines. Overall design: UT-SCC-12a cells were transduced with lentiviral particles to stably overexpress miR-23b or scrambled RNA (n=5) for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. We performed transcriptomic analysis to dectect differentially expressed genes on miR-23b over-expressing vs Control.
