We provide a high quality chromosome-level scaffolding of the genome of Ectocarpus sp., the first brown algal species to be sequenced. The scaffolding is based on Hi-C read data and was performed with instaGRAAL, an improved version of the GRAAL Hi-C based scaffolder.
