Survey of Governments: Annual Finance Statistics, 1994

<p>This data collection contains samples of the 1992 Census of Governments data files. The data provide estimates of all state and local government financial activity for items such as revenue, expenditures, debt, and financial assets. Revenue data include taxes, charges, interest, and other earnings. Expenditures data include totals by function (such as education and police protection) and by acounting category (such as current operations and capital outlays). Debt data include issuance, retirement, and cumulative totals. The results from these weighted sample calculations have statistical variance, while the (1992) census results do not.</p>
